Alleles, Strains, and Phenotypes

Other Alleles, Strains...

Allele: nuf2-dt
Other Topic: degron tagged mutant

Strain Background: W303a
Genotype: 3050 MATa ura3-1 leu2-2,112 his3-11,15 trp1-1 ade2-1 nuf2-dt :URA3 PGAL10-UBR1:HIS3
Phenotype(s): Loss of function (Null), Recessive, Temperature(Heat) Sensitive

Degron tagged mutant is spindle checkpoint proficient under restrictive conditions where the protein is eliminated. Mutant arrests in mitosis and the phenotype is similar to nuf2-61. Double mutant with ndc80-1 is checkpoint defective showing that Ndc80 and Nuf2 function redundantly in the spindle checkpoint. [5] [6]
