Description of YDR072C: Inositolphosphotransferase 1, involved in synthesis of mannose-(inositol-P)2-ceramide (M(IP)2C), which is the most abundant sphingolipid in cells, mutation confers resistance to the antifungals syringomycin E and DmAMP1 in some growth media[1][2][3]
