Primary SGDID S000003158

Description of YGL190C: Non-essential regulatory subunit B of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A); involved in regulation of mitotic exit; required for correct nuclear division and chromosome segregation in meiosis; maintains sequestration of the phosphatase Cdc14p in nucleolus during early meiosis, which is essential for meiosis I spindle assembly; limits formation of PP2A-Rts1p holocomplexes to ensure timely dissolution of sister chromosome cohesion; found in nucleus, bud neck and bud of most cells[1][2][3][4][5]
