The Pet122 precursor is proteolytically processed between the 8th and 9th residues upon import into mitochondria. McMullin TW, Fox TD (1993) COX3 mRNA-specific translational activator proteins are associated with the inner mitochondrial membrane in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. J Biol Chem 268(16):11737-41
