Strain W303 has ssd1-d2 allele[5] in which the 2094th nucleotide C is substituted with G, resulting in a premature stop codon[6], whereas S288C and BY4741 strains have dominant SSD1-V[7], which encodes a full-length Ssd1 protein. --S.hiraga 16:19, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
